Date & Time - December 12th & 13th; 19th & 20th; 6 to 9 PM
-
The trolley will be drawn by Percheron draft horses and/or mules belonging to Bruce and Kris Clair of Draft Bees Honey farm in Antioch.
-
How much - There is no charge. The event is sponsored by Antioch Church.
-
Where info - Check the TPA Facebook site for map details. Trolley riders can either go through the lights as normal and park just past the pool (handicap parking only right at the pool) to queue for the trolley in front of the pool entrance. Alternatively, if riders don't want to drive through the lights, they can come through the NE park entrance, park and queue directly; however, note that it is not possible to drive from this location through the lights since the roads through the park are one way from there down. Be prepared to wait in line, as we anticipate this being a popular activity. Signs will be posted at both entrances as well as at parking and loading areas, and volunteers will be directing foot traffic to the parking, queue, and loading area.
-
Other info - Dress warmly and bring blankets as needed. It is usually chilly this time of year and the trolley is covered but open to the wind. Hot drinks will be provided by Antioch Church - take care with hot fluids and monitor children with their drinks so no one is hurt. Please, only one ride per person during the season, so that as many community members as possible have a chance to share this experience. Note that in the state of Indiana equine activities are considered inherently at your own risk, meaning that Antioch Church, TPA Park, Draft Bees Honey, the City of Frankfort, and volunteers helping with the event may not be held liable for any injuries or damage. Please exercise wisdom and care around the animals, especially respecting the space around the horses, minimizing loud noises and sudden movements, and monitoring children for safety.
